はじめに
今回は、白ボケして色あせたバイクの黒樹脂パーツに、ヤマハのスーパープラスチック光沢復活剤を使って、どこまで艶が戻るかを試してみた内容です。主にDIO110と、かなり年数が経ったマジェスティで確認していきます。
使用している工具
普段のメンテ・DIYで使っている工具・常備品は、専用ページにまとめています。
必要なもの
- ヤマハ スーパープラスチック光沢復活剤（スプレー）
YAMAHA梱包サイズ:52.0 x 52.0 x 155.0 mm - タオル
- クロス（ムラの拭き上げ用）
- （必要に応じて）ダンボール
ロジマート外寸：幅510mm×奥行390mm×高さ370mm
作業手順
- まず施工前の状態を確認します。白ボケしている部分と、黒さが残っている部分の差を見ておきます。
- 施工する樹脂パーツの汚れを、先にしっかり拭き取っておきます。
- 噴射口の向きを確認して、対象から5〜10cm離してスプレーします。様子を見ながら角度を変えて吹きます。
- 逆光などでムラが見えるところは、クロスやタオルで軽く拭き上げて、薄く引き延ばします。
- ムラが気になる部分は、タオルで薄く伸ばす作業を繰り返して、見た目を整えていきます。
- 別の車体（マジェスティ）や別パーツ（マフラーカバー、クランクケースなど）にも同じ流れで施工して、ビフォーとの違いを確認します。
注意点
- スプレーが意図しない場所に飛ぶことがあります。
- 塗った範囲と塗っていない範囲の境界線が目立つ場合があります。
- マフラーカバーなど、当たると面倒な部分には注意が必要です。
- パーツを外さずにやると雑になりやすいので、きっちりやるなら外して1個ずつ施工した方がよさそうです。
- タオルの布が付くことがあります。
- 施工中はガレージ内に匂いがこもります。
まとめ
1000円くらいのケミカルということで正直そこまで期待していなかったんですけど、白ボケしていた黒樹脂がしっかり黒くなって、見た目の変化はかなり大きかったです。2台施工して使用量はざっくり1/3〜1/4程度。仕上がりはムラ対策の丁寧さで差が出るので、そこを意識するとよりきれいにまとまりそうです。あとはどれだけ持つか、耐久性が気になるところです。
